Calgary Yacht Club members have enjoyed boating on Chestermere Lake since the club was established in 1933. Nestled on two acres of waterfront property on the east shore of Chestermere Lake, the Calgary Yacht Club's facilities support a broad range of boating, educational and social activities throughout the year. Just 10 minutes from Calgary's eastern limits, our facility is within easy reach of most residents of the region. Annual memberships include unlimited access to the club, providing affordable access to the water.
The club is a not for profit organization, run by members who volunteer their time and efforts toward developing, promoting and enjoying the sport of sailing. While some of our members are highly accomplished sailors, we continue to welcome members of all abilities, ages and interests.
You don't need to own a sail boat to enjoy the club and its facilities. Paddlers are always welcome! The club's buildings and grounds provide a relaxed family atmosphere. The club maintains a small fleet of sailboats, paddle boards and kayaks which, for a nominal fee, members can rent for their own enjoyment.
