The Calgary Yacht Club is a great place to work that fosters team spirit, community, and learning. We are primarily a seasonal not-for-profit with much of our activity in the summer. We are always looking for our future instructors and we also rely heavily on volunteers.
The Calgary Yacht Club has developed an excellent Future Leaders Mentorship Program where youth can gain valuable experience and mentorship toward becoming our future coaches. This is a volunteer based program that will provide youth a set schedule of volunteer hours, which could range from a 2-4 weeks commitment over the course of the summer (July/August). This program includes assisting CanSail Instructors with the delivery of summer camps, and weekly mentorship and guidance from our experienced CanSail accredited coaches that helps prepare youth towards becoming a future instructor at the Calgary Yacht Club.

If you would like to learn more about the Future Leaders Mentorship Program, please contact us! We hope to have the Future Leaders intake and schedule arranged prior to June 15th, 2023.
